The great Menifee New year's day raid.
By: C. Kent, aka (Superman)
The Great Menifee Breakfast Raid 2015.
Some people may call us raiders and some patriots. There are some that may call us invaders but whatever we are called we have a side to the story. Here is our side.
For whatever reason the little city of Menifee had a small food depository called the Breakfast Club. Two other cities close by wondered what it might be like to eat at such a place. The problem was it was normally packed with local residents of Menifee and the other two cities could never get there in time for a real breakfast, relaxed and with conversation. So a plan was devised and a special group of special ops riders that were assigned the task of invading the Breakfast Club and annexing the patio for their own eating pleasure.
It was a two pronged attack. A small probing force would leave Nuevo and attack Menifee from the north. A second larger attack group would descend on Menifee from the east. We would take the Patio by surprise. At 9am the larger group gave the signal to Dragon Slayer and the smaller group to start the attack. Dragon Slayer had Magic Man and one other rider plus a armored vehicle with two and a half adults. I had a group of five riders and an advanced force with a armored vehicle driven by Surgeon. Our riders left the parking lot in Hemet at 9am and Dragon Slayer left Nuevo at 9am. Like Swat members our team wore masks to disguise us from detection.
We made our way onto Acacia and then onto Kirby is a state of frozen quiet. That of course was part of our plan. On a Cold New Years day who would expect an attack from Hemet and Nuevo on Menifee? We did have a small problem as we turned onto Cypress and headed west however; Sasquatch cut a tire and we had to stop to boot it. We could only hope that did throw off or timing for the raid. We quickly booted the tire and were on our way. We managed to stay in a steady pace line all the way to Domenigoni and then turn towards the saddle. We took turns pulling till we got to Winchester where Sasquatch took over and pulled us all the way to the top of the saddle for a quick drink before heading on to Menifee.
We dropped down off of the saddle and headed for Lindenburger and then crossed Menifee on our way to Antelope. We were a bit spread out as we crossed Antelope and crossed the freeway behind Sasquatch. We were soon at the light on Newport and Haun waiting for the light. As we turned the corner and got to the driveway leading to the Breakfast Club’s parking lot we say a counter attack was being made on our advanced group. But as soon as we advanced to the patio they gave up and offered all the tables to our group in total surrender.
I have to thank Dragon Slayer from the plan and Magic Man for assisting him. We enjoyed ourselves and ate like conquering heroes before deciding to abandon our conquest and head back to our separate starting place. Dragon Slayer arranged for his groups return to Nuevo while I took our group with Huntress, Closer, Sasquatch and Digger back to Newport and east. We held it together pretty good till we got back to the saddle where we dropped Digger. We regrouped at Leon and held it together again till we got to Winchester. We dropped digger again at the dry wash but collected him again at Sanderson. Huntress took Closer and Digger back to the parking lot and I went with Sasquatch to find out if I had a spare tire to replace his cut one. I got home just after noon and took a hot shower before kicking back to spend the rest of the day with my wife. It was a great way to spend New Year’s Day.
